• 4Life.earth: The citizen science platform for wetland restoration, part of the Restore4Life project.
• Consortium: All project partners of Restore4Life, except the European Commission.
• Platform Manager / “we” / “us”: Archipelagos Institute of Marine Conservation (Greece), responsible for the management and operation of 4Life.earth.
• You: Any visitor or user of the 4Life.earth platform.
• Materials: All content, data, documents, images, text, software, and other resources made available on the platform.

3. Use of the Platform

• You may use the platform and its content only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
• You may not use the platform to:
  • Violate any law or regulation.
  • Infringe on intellectual property or other rights.
  • Distribute malware, spam, or other harmful content.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform or its data.
  • Systematically collect data (e.g. scraping, data mining) without written permission.

4. Intellectual Property

• All content and materials on 4Life.earth are owned by the Consortium and/or its licensors, unless otherwise stated.
• You may view, download, and print content for personal, non-commercial use, provided you retain all copyright and property notices.
• You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content for commercial purposes without prior written consent.
• By sharing any data or materials (including photos) on 4Life.earth, you confirm that you have the rights to do so and that the materials are free of third-party rights.
• By sharing, you grant 4Life.earth the unrestricted right to use, share, and distribute all materials for any purpose, including commercial and non-commercial uses, worldwide and in perpetuity.

5. Open Data and Attribution

• All field data contributions are processed anonymously and are published as open data.
• You cannot claim ownership or authorship over field data, projects, or resulting publications.
• The platform and its data are intended for open, fair, and scientific use by all.
• All field data, including photos and other materials, may be used by anyone for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial, as a reflection of a fully open and fair principle.

The platform may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of these sites.

7. Changes to the Platform and Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the platform at any time. We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes are effective upon posting. Continued use of the platform means you accept the new terms.
